Yahye is a poetry and spoken word based in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
He was born in Hargeisa on March 27, 1994. (He is a recent graduate of medical school.
Yahye is a home grown well known and followed young poet. He started composing poetry when he was in high school. He travels all over the Horn of Africa performing poetry and spoken words for the young generation. His poems encourage young Somalis to be proud of who they are. He talks about subjects that appeal to young generation such as identity, love, beauty, education, culture and creativity.
