Shukri Janagale is a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist exploring the realm of digital art. Since her return to her motherland Somalia, Shukri has been blessed with a sense of peace. This nuance of balance has ignited a surge of creativity she hasn’t experience since her teens. After a 10 year hiatus she has returned with a vengeance. Kicking things off with her first Solo Art Show “Dhaqan soo Celis” (Bringing the Culture Back) in 2018.
In 2019 she challenged her capacity by committing to a 365 Daily Art Challenge and finishing the year off with a large-scale mural painting. Recently, she was selected as a Mentee in the 2020 For Creative Girls Mentorship Program.
